Thank you for choosing to adopt a pet. If you are interested in adopting a kitten or cat listed on this website please contact us or visit our shelter to meet the pets "in person."

Prepare to be loved. And ignored.

Flock of Felines
McCook Humane Society Guest This Flock of Felines has landed and is ready for adoption! They're another litter of adorable kittens that have been brought in because the folks have too many cats and kittens. This litter was born on July 23rd, they're all gray tabbies and are all very used to being handled since we've had them since they were only a few weeks old. There are five boys and one girl. Meet Raven, Talon, Falcon, Sparrow, Hawk and Eagle!

Blaze and Leaf
McCook Humane Society Guest Blaze and Leaf are two male orange tabbies from a litter of six that were born on June 25th and were brought to us because the previous owner just has too many to keep. There is also another male orange tabby (with white) and that would be Cypress. There is one calico, her name is Aspen. There's a black male named Willow and a female black tabby named Ash. These are all very social and sweet kittens ready for their new homes.

McCook Humane Society Guest Luther comes to us because his owner is moving and couldn't take him. He's an adult black short haired cat, just beautiful! He's friendly and gets along with all of us just wonderfully. This guy is vocal, not loud, it's actually comical. Come on in and meet this handsome guy!

McCook Humane Society Guest Tommy is a stray black tabby kitten who's best guess right at eight weeks old now and was brought in to the shelter in the hopes that we'd be able to find him a new home. We personally do not think that will be a problem, as this young guy has the sweetest purrsonality ever! He gets along with absolutely everyone and is going to make someone a wonderful feline friend.

McCook Humane Society Guest Link came in as a stray and wasn't claimed, he's right at four months old and is an adorable gray tabby with white markings. He's really friendly and he just loves all the attention we give him. He's got a little "crook" in his tail, that gives him character and makes us think he might have some Siamese in his family tree.

Kaley and Kendra
McCook Humane Society Guest Check these two out! "KALEY" and "KENDRA" are two very adorable and super friendly female brown tabby kittens that were found abandoned behind the shelter when they were very tiny. They were born around the middle of September and are right at ten weeks old. These two are extremely socialized, we'll be the first let you know it's our fault that they're spoiled rotten! They're used to being handled, just like all the other underage kittens we get in, we've nursed them and loved them until they are old enough to be adopted.

The Outlaws
McCook Humane Society Guest We've even got the Outlaws here! Meet Brandy, JW, JD and Whiskey! They're another litter of kittens we've received that's now ready for adoption. There's one female and three males, This litter was born on Sept. 25th and is also very used to being handled, very friendly and playful.

McCook Humane Society Guest Dreamer is an extremely handsome two year old flame point Siamese mix who comes to us because her owners could no longer care for him. He's great with people and dogs, but doesn't care too much for other cats.

McCook Humane Society Guest Galaxy came in as a stray, and it is obvious that she's just a very easy going gal. She hitched a ride on a grain buggy to a local small town, was brought in to us, and still through all that... all this beautiful calico wants is our attention. She's a young adult who'd make someone a wonderful family addition.

McCook Humane Society Guest Ice was found abandoned at a rural farm and the folks tried to find an owner but couldn't. This over friendly, gorgeous adult Lilac Point Siamese fella was so friendly they brought him to us to see if we could find him a new home. He truly is a sweetheart and loves nothing better than to cuddle. He'd be a wonderful house companion to anyone looking for a friend.
