Cats Available for Adoption

Thank you for choosing to adopt a pet. If you are interested in adopting a kitten or cat listed on this website please contact us or visit our shelter to meet the pets "in person."

Prepare to be loved. And ignored.

Jasper
McCook Humane Society Guest Jasper came in with his brother, Keo, and a mom and her litter of kittens that are still way too young to adopt out. This group of cats and kittens all came in because the folks have way too many cats and they're all used to being out on the farm, but very friendly and used to being handled by kids and adults alike. Jasper, like his gorgeous brother is also a beautiful young ten month old male buff tabby with shorter hair.

Peanut and Lucy
McCook Humane Society Guest Peanut and Lucy are part of a litter of kittens that were brought to us that was found under a trailer. They are now eight weeks old, ready and available for adoption after we've nursed them and kept them until they were ready. Lucy is the mostly black with white one, the only female, and Peanut is a gray tabby with white. They're all short haired kittens, all used to attention, come pre-spoiled and would make anyone a wonderful companion.

Charlie
McCook Humane Society Guest Charlie is one of a litter of kittens that was brought to us that was found under a trailer. He, Peanut and Lucy are now eight weeks old, ready and available for adoption after we've nursed them and kept them until they were ready. He's a short haired black and white little guy with really cool marking especially on his face. He's used to attention, comes pre-spoiled and would make anyone a wonderful companion.

Bonnie and Clyde
McCook Humane Society Guest Bonnie and Clyde are part of a litter of four kittens that came in because the folks had too many cats and kittens. They were born on Feb. 11th and are all short haired cats that are all pretty friendly and very friendly! Bonnie is the female, she's the black one, and Clyde is the gray tabby with white markings.

Mickey and Mallory
McCook Humane Society Guest Mickey and Mallory are part of a litter of four kittens that came in because the folks had too many cats and kittens. They were born on Feb. 11th and are all short haired cats that are all pretty friendly and very friendly! Mallory is the female, she's the seal point Siamese mix, and Mickey is the gray tabby with white markings. ADOPTION NOTE: Mallory (the Seal Pt Siamese mix female) has been adopted, leaving Mickey alone still waiting for someone to adopt him!

Sara
McCook Humane Society Guest Sara is a gorgeous gray shorter haired gray tabby cat who comes to us because her previous owner's landlord doesn't allow pets. She is an amazing girl, who loves attention and would make anyone a wonderful feline friend. She's just over a year old, very smart and an extremely good listener so if you're looking for someone to tell talk to at the end of a hard day, you've found her!

Tamison
McCook Humane Society Guest Tamison is a one year old gorgeous gray tabby with white shorter haired cat. She comes to us only because the hubby is allergic to cats and the allergies got so bad the family had to make the decision that Tammy and the kittens had to find a new home. She's here looking for a new home, along with her kittens, Laverne and Shirley. She's a sweetheart, and gets along with all of us.

Website photos and pets' availability are updated weekly.  "Adopt a Pet" on KICX radio, 96.1 FM, airs each day between 7:30 and 8 am with the latest information on our adoptable pets or give us a call at the Shelter.
