Cats Available for Adoption

Thank you for choosing to adopt a pet. If you are interested in adopting a kitten or cat listed on this website please contact us or visit our shelter to meet the pets "in person."

Prepare to be loved. And ignored.

Scooter
McCook Humane Society Guest Scooter is an adorable love bug that someone left behind when they moved. He's a three month old gray and white short haired kitten that loves nothing more than just hanging out on his human. And any human will do! He's a snuggler, he comes with that warning label that we give sometimes, he's pre-spoiled!

Tamison
McCook Humane Society Guest Tamison is a one year old gorgeous gray tabby with white shorter haired cat. She comes to us only because the hubby is allergic to cats and the allergies got so bad the family had to make the decision that Tammy and the kittens had to find a new home. She's here looking for a new home, along with her kittens, Laverne and Shirley. She's a sweetheart, and gets along with all of us. This little girl just loves to love and to be loved.

Cali
McCook Humane Society Guest This gorgeous young female short haired cat is very friendly and is more of a tortoiseshell than a calico... but has white markings on her chest and feet. We're telling her she can be whatever she chooses to be and since the folks that found her named her Cali, we'll keep that as her name. She's a sweetheart and seems to like the attention we give her, but we don't know anything else about her since she came in as a stray. She's right around eight months old.

Pawl Newman
McCook Humane Society Guest Pawl Newman came in as a stray so we really don't know much about this gorgeous buff and white adult male shorter haired cat. He's very friendly and outgoing. He likes attention, he loves it when he's the center of our attention and has the prettiest blue eyes we've seen in a while.

Ebony
McCook Humane Society Guest Ebony was one of two beautiful calico colored female kittens that were brought in as strays and neither were claimed. Ebony is just as sweet as Pearl, who she came in with, both of them are perfectly content with sitting or lounging on whoever will offer a lap or a shoulder to them. Ebony is the one with a lot of black in her markings. They're right at ten weeks old and are perfectly suited for any home.

Pearl
McCook Humane Society Guest Pearl was one of two beautiful calico colored female kittens that were brought in as strays and neither were claimed. Pearl is more of what you'd call a Torbie with white, and is just the sweetest little girl you'd want to meet. They're right at ten weeks old and are perfectly suited for any home.

Celeste
McCook Humane Society Guest Celeste is a gorgeous longer haired calico colored cat who appears to be right under a year old. She came in as a stray and wasn't claimed. This girl is very mellow and perfectly content hanging out just checking out what we're doing or sitting on whoever's lap is available. She's playful and sweet, and ready for a home of her own.

Pepper
McCook Humane Society Guest Pepper is one of a litter of four adorable kittens that were brought in because the owner had too many cats and kittens. These short haired cuties were born on June 16th and this adorable soft gray tabby is a male. They've been around other cats, and seem to be taking to the ear scratching, belly rubbing and playing just fine. They're playful, fun and would be a wonderful addition to your home.

Paprika
McCook Humane Society Guest Paprika is one of a litter of four adorable kittens that were brought in because the owner had too many cats and kittens. These short haired cuties were born on June 16th and Paprika is a female dilute calico. They've been around other cats, and seem to be taking to the ear scratching, belly rubbing and playing just fine. They're playful, fun and would be a wonderful addition to your home.
